Guardiola: Jurgen took me to another level, I’ll miss him a lot – I’m closer to leaving than staying

Him Jurgen Klopp glorified by Pep Guardiola in his statements after Manchester City’s 4th straight league win.

The Catalan coach commented on the departure of his colleague – and for years his “rival” – from Liverpool and the Premier League, stressing that not only he will be missedbut also how helped him develop as a coach.

“I will miss her very much. Jurgen has been a really important part of my life. He brought me to another level as a coach. We respect each other incredibly. I have a feeling he’ll be back. I thank him very much for his words, but he knows that behind me there is a lot that this club provides me, otherwise I would not have been able to do it on my own“, noted the 53-year-old coach.

He also referred to his future to the “citizens”. Specifically, he noted that will stay and next season, at the end of which his contract is completed. However, he added that as he currently thinks about it, sees more likely to leave rather than renewing his partnership with the English champions.

“The reality is I’m closer to leaving than staying. We have spoken with the club and I feel that I want to stay now. I will stay next season, but during the year we will talk and see“, explained.
