Givi Bliatze is the European champion

Givi Bliadze is European champion. The U23 European Wrestling Championship, held in Baku, ended in the most ideal way. Givi Bliatze in the final of 92k. he won the gold medal and the national anthem was played in his honor.

The final was exciting and the Greek champion fought with the heart of a lion. He showed how much he wanted the victory and in the end prevailed against Viskanov. The French champion found himself behind at 6-5 with sixteen seconds to go, but took a double point and went ahead on the score. Vyshankov made a protest which was not justified and the score became 8-6. In the few seconds left, Bliatze lost a point, due to tactics, and won 8-7.

Bliatze’s coveted title spread immense joy in Greek Wrestling, which returns from Baku with two European championships, as it was preceded by Giorgos Kougioumtsidis’ gold.

Givi Bliadze, however, deserved the gold medal as few athletes do. He is a wrestler who always reached the source, but his medal always left at the last moment. In Baku, however, he was determined to take… everything and proved it in action.

Now as European champion he can boast that his efforts have been rewarded!
