8th Panhellenic Deaf Women’s Basketball Championship: “Morias” wins second consecutive title

The curtain fell on the 8th Panhellenic Deaf Women’s Basketball Championship with the Pan-Arkadian Deaf Sports Club “Moria” defeating the Deaf Sports Association of Northern Greece in the final 68-54. The Tripoli team repeated their last year’s triumph at the same stadium.

In yesterday’s (Friday, 31/5) match held at the Second Indoor Gymnasium of Ilioupoli “Diana”, they went into the match with different emotions. One wanted to defend her title and the other to conquer it.

Finally, in a very good and strong game with the Tripoli team creating a difference, which it maintained until the end and reached the victory and the title of the champion of Greece, for the 2nd year in a row.

From the champion team, the first scorer was the international Alexandra Kotsiafti with 25 points, two-digit number of points were achieved by the also internationals, Kotsirea 12 and Tsarouha 11.

From the team of Northern Greece, Agagiotou, also an international, top scorer with 20 points.
