As every year, at the Filothei Women Gala, some of the top Greek female track and field athletes will compete, such as Tatiana Gusin and Panagiota Dosi in the high jump, Eleni Pollak in the pole vault, but also Elisavet Pesiridou, Sofia Iosifidou, Polyniki Emmanouilidou in the 100 meters hurdles and 100 meters respectively.
At the same time, leading names from abroad will be in the race. Last year’s World Open Long Track and Field Championships bronze medalist in Budapest, Alina Rotariou, will be competing at the gala for the umpteenth time, while Serbian record 6.91 champion Milica Gardasevic will also be in attendance.
At the same time, in the women’s height, the leading Serb and holder of the national record (1.98), who won the silver medal at the European Open Athletics Championships in Rome behind the leading Jarslava Machucic, Angelina Topic, will compete in Filothei before the Olympic Games.
The race, which belongs to the Silver category of the Continental tour race series, starts at 18:30 with the women’s pole vault and entry is free for the public.
The gala is held with the main supporter of the Municipality of Filothei-Psychikos and under the auspices of the World (WA) and European (EAA) Athletics Federations, as well as SEGAS.
