Digital ticket and identification to enter Stoiximan Basket League courts

The change in the way of entering the stadiums from the next season was announced by YOU WERE.

Specifically, the organizing authority of the Stoiximan Basket League announced that according to the new KYA (Joint Ministerial Decision), from September 16, 2024 the basketball games of the championship, the Greek Cup and international competitions, in which KAE plays as the home team, will be held exclusively in sports facilities equipped with the new ticket control and identification system of incoming viewers.

The relevant KYA implementation, which further upgrades the level of security in the stadiums, together with the other measures against delinquency.

The Joint Ministerial Decision on the “Obligation to hold A1 Men’s National Division basketball sports meetings (Basket League) exclusively in sports facilities, which have the prescribed system of ticket control and identification of entering spectators”, was received by the Director General of ESAKE, Efthymis Rentzias, by the Deputy Minister of Sports, Yiannis Vroutsis and the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou.

According to the KYA, from September 16, 2024, the basketball games of the Basket League, the Greek Cup and international competitions, in which KAE competes as the home team, will be held exclusively in sports facilities equipped with the new ticket control and identification system of spectators, as will be the case from August 17 and in football, where PAE of the Super League compete.

With the start of the new competition season, all sports fans will identify their regular ticket, as well as their season ticket, through the Gov.gr Wallet application and will digitally enter the closed gyms for the Basket League, Cup and international matches events.

This specific procedure completely upgrades the level of security in the stadiums and was provided for in Law 5085/2024, together with the rest of the package of measures to combat delinquency.

More specifically, in order to digitally identify their ticket, citizens are required to register in the National Register of Communications (E.M.Ep.), at emep.gov.gr and download the Gov.gr Wallet application from Google to their mobile phone Play or the App Store. The identification process through the Gov.gr Wallet is done in a simple and friendly way, which is described in detail at tickets.gov.gr.
