The Patras team formalized its agreement with the former NBAer, Eliza Hugheswho plays guard and forward and signed a one-season contract.

“KAE Prometheus Patras is pleased to announce the acquisition of athlete Elijah Hughes, who will strengthen our team’s efforts for the 2024-25 season.
Elijah Hughes was born on March 10, 1998 in the United States of America. He sees the world from 198 cm and can cover the positions of shooting guard and small forward. This is a player who is coming to “Giraia Epirus” for the first time, to compete for our team, having played in the NBA in the past. He started his career in the 2016-17 season with the NCAA and the East Carolina Pirates, then played with the Syracuse Orange, with whom he had the most productive season of his career in the 2019-20 season, averaging 19 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists. This excellent year was for him the “passport” to the NBA, since in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons he played for the Utah Jazz, while at the same time he also played in the G League, with the Salt Lake Stars. In the finale of the 2021-22 season, the Portland Trail Blazers became the second team of his career in the world’s top league, competing there for 22 games. Hughes then moved to the G League and the Wisconsin Herd, where he stayed for two years (2022-24). Last season, the new transfer acquisition of Prometheus averaged 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
