Dorsey: “I want the coming season to be the best of my career”

A few weeks ago, Olympiacos announced its return Tyler Dorseywho will wear the red and white again after one season in NBA and Fenerbahce.

The American guard with a Greek passport spoke to the official website of the “red and whites”, set the goals for the new season and expressed the expectancy of for group and individual… launch.

In detail what he said:

What are your feelings and your first thoughts after your return to the team?

“I feel very good to return to Greece and Olympiakos. My family and I loved the team and the place we lived in last time I was at Olympiakos and I feel very happy because I still remember how much everyone hugged me from the first moment. The fans, everyone in the team, staff, players, coaches, everyone, I never had any complaints from the way everyone treated me, it was something unique. And for this reason I can say that we kept ties and relationships all these years that followed as there was respect and trust between us.”

What reasons made you accept Olympiakos’ offer and return to the team?

“I said “yes” to Olympiakos’ proposal as I saw that it is a great opportunity for me to return to a top organization, in an excellent condition for me, with the same body of players all these years and the same coach. A lot of the guys I was teammates with in my previous tenure are the same and I feel like it’s a great opportunity to win titles again and get to winning the Euroleague as well. The team in the last few years has come so close to achieving it, but for various reasons has not succeeded. So I want to be a part of this whole and let’s succeed next year to conquer the Euroleague”.

Is there anything you missed when you left, that you feel happy to find again?

“I missed everything. From the weather (laughter included) to being on the field every day with my teammates and coaches. I love everything about Greece and Olympiakos. So I wanted to go back and experience it all again. I enjoy being there and I have a lot of motivation and a lot to prove. I want the coming season to be the best of my career”.

In closing, do you want to send a message to the world of the team that showed huge enthusiasm for your return?

“What I want to say to our fans is that we will do everything to bring back all the trophies, to conquer everything. Our fans have shown us enormous support and love and I promise that we will do everything to return the joy they give us by winning all the titles”.
