Lightning struck in Panachaiki!
The team of Patras has been informed that five of its former footballers have appealed to the Professional Sports Committee of the GGA and are asking not to be granted a certificate of participation in the Super League 2 championship, due to debts!
The text of the application:
“REQUEST FOR NON-GRANTING A CERTIFICATE

AGAINST
PAE PANACHAIC GYMNASTIC ASSOCIATION based in Patras and legally represented
We hereby ask you not to grant a certificate of participation to the respective PAE for the championship of the next season of Super League 2, because it still owes us the total amount of €101,000 awarded to us by the no. 1456/ 2023 decision of the Athens Magistrate’s Court.
As you know, this decision is an EXECUTED title and we still do not know why your Commission rejected our relevant application for the forfeiture of its letter of guarantee, as completely unjustifiably we have not yet been notified of your reasoning.
BECAUSE, as the guarantor Piraeus Bank subsequently confirmed to us, the material coverage of the letter of guarantee is available and therefore the Commission must either order the forfeiture or not grant a certificate of participation in the PAE.
BECAUSE we remind you that two months ago we have confiscated the only official and legal account of PAE at Piraeus Bank and we have provided you with the relevant Third Party Statement of the Bank.
BECAUSE, however, in violation of the Sports Law and without prior notification to the EEA, PAE PANACHAIKI throughout this time has made payments to footballers, transfers, etc., through other accounts or ways not declared to the EEA, there is an independent reason for imposing sanctions.
Therefore, we ask you not to grant a certificate of participation to PAE PANACHAIKI until it provides you with proof of full, complete and proper payment of our claims.
