Mission to Siddam: Herakles Antipas
On Saturday afternoon (27/07), Olympiacos beat Nijmegen 2-0 in Mavrik, completing the first stage of their preparation on Dutch soil.
THE Julian Biancon spoke to the emissary of News Bulletin 247, Herakles Antipafor his conclusions from the preparation so far, for the demanding friendlies coming up and for the very high quality of the work done so far in the team.
In detail what he said:
“The feeling is good. We finished with a win, a good performance. I think yesterday was a bit difficult, but we’ve worked a lot these last two weeks, so we were really, really tired, but we finished the job well against a good opponent. We are playing our game and scored two goals in the first half to secure the score and finish this training camp well.
Now we will have a day off to rest a bit and we will go to the second phase of the pre-season with the two games in Italy after an important game against Nottingham, the last game in Cyprus and we will start the league.
But the whole team was good. We are working in a very good way and I hope we will have a very good season. The preparation here in the Netherlands has been good. The pitch was perfect, the infrastructure was top notch, the hotel also the people we work with all day are very good. We have a fantastic group of kids. They’re smiling there, so it’s all good.”
