Kostopoulou returned to PAOK

Athina Kostopoulou returned to the PAOK women’s handball team. The “two-headed” Amateur has announced the signing of the 29-year-old right winger for next year, with the athlete wearing the black and white again after four years.

For the past three years, Kostopoulou competed in AESH Pylaia.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s sandball department, PAOK mateco, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Athena Kostopoulou, for the 2024-2025 season.

Born on 30/12/1995, Athina Kostopoulou plays as a right winger and is 179cm tall.

She took her first steps in handball in 2009 from Orfeas Katerinis, and then followed a three-year period (2010-13) at OFN Ionias. In the 2013-14 season, he played for Panathletikos Sykeon, to return the following season (2014-15) to OFN Ionia, with whom he won the double.

In the 2015-16 season, she played her first term as a PAOK player, even winning the Cup. The following two years (2016-18), he remained a resident of Thessaloniki, playing for AEP Panorama (2016-17) and Aris (2017-18).

The next two competitive seasons (2018-20) found her again with the PAOK shirt. In these two years he won the doubles twice.

In the 2020-21 season he competed with the jersey of Veria 17, to follow a three-year (2021-2024) in Thessaloniki, this time on behalf of AESCH Pylaia.

He has been a member of the National teams since 2009, having participated in all age categories of our representative groups.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Athina Kostopoulou stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “It is my great pleasure to return to the PAOK team. I’m looking forward to this season and I’m ready to give my best, work with my teammates and fight together for the team’s goals.

I thank the administration, the coaching staff and all those who support the team for their trust. I am determined to contribute to the team’s success and make our fans proud.”
