Atromitos completed his 14th transfer move for this summer!
Peristeriotes announced the acquisition of Dimitris Stavropoulos, a 27-year-old central defender who started his career at the Olympiakos academies and was released by the Polish club at the end of last season. Varta Poznanwhile in the past he has competed in Panionio and in Italian Regina.

PAE Atromitos announces the acquisition of Dimitris Stavropoulos for the next two years.
The new footballer of our team was born on May 1, 1997 and plays as a central defender. He started his career at the Academies of Olympiakos, continued at those of Panioni and made his professional debut at the age of 19 in 2016.
From 2016 to the summer of 2020 he made 76 appearances scoring four goals and was acquired by Regina that summer. With the Italian team he made 42 appearances and in the summer of 2022 he was acquired by Varta Poznan of Poland with whom he recorded 60 appearances and scored four goals”.
After the formal completion of the agreement, Mr Dimitris Stavropoulos who took the shirt with the number “4”, made his first statements on atromitosfc.gr.
“First of all I want to say that I am excited about today’s development. The truth is that it was not my intention to return to Greece, however, from the moment Atromitos approached me, the situation became different. I wanted, since I was coming back, to do it for a great team like Atromitos, which at the same time offers everything a football player needs.
The coach, Pablo Garcia, played a big role in my decision, but also the way in which Atromitos approached me. I have seen the moves that the team has made this summer and you really understand from the players they have acquired the serious effort that is being made and how high the bar is set.
In addition, there is this training center that offers everything to a footballer and in these cases I think it is up to the player to perform to the best of his ability. There are these facilities, these changing rooms, this gym, that you automatically realize which team you are joining and I am really happy that from today I am part of Atromitos”.
