Another year in Greece and you fascinated me even more. I believe neither the team nor the country has a bigger fan than me. I could talk all day about my feelings for you and still not even come close to expressing how real they are.
This is the second time I’ve tried to say goodbye and it doesn’t get any easier because of everything we’ve accomplished together.
Ups and downs, I’m still loving every moment. I watched my daughter grow up with you and have my second child right after the Conference League. I had the best derbies and the best matches in Europe again, you have supported me since I came back and I will remember it forever. And no one will understand, not even you.
For all these reasons, I feel like I’m letting you down… You deserved more than me. But I hope that in the end you will understand my decision. I’m leaving now but not forever. I can’t imagine not wearing the red and white again. Maybe this is a ‘see you soon’.
