The decision to allow to the football clubs of the country, which are controlled by their members, to pass into private ownership was received by presidential decree Javier Millay.

The president of Argentina, however, did not calculate the court of Buenos Aireswhich put a brake on any thoughts he had about the development of the sport in the country.

The right-wing economist came to power in December, pledging to confront Argentina’s economic crisis making huge cuts in public spending and privatizing entire parts of the public sector.

Miley’s decision had caused the reaction of the Football Federation of Argentina, which spoke of “obvious interference by the state in private entities” and claims that it “violated countless articles of the constitution”.

He also agrees with this particular reaction the judge Elpidio Portocarero Tesanos Pintowho canceled the provisions of the presidential decree pending a final decision.

In fact, he emphasized that “no person who has been through the life of a sports and social club, in any of its economic dimensions – even unpaid – can deny the transcendental importance it had for the development of”.
