End of an era for Paulinios!
The Brazilian international midfielder, after a rich career 20 years old on the playing fields, he announced that he was “hanging up” his football boots at 36 years old!
Paulinho’s career began in 2004 with Audax in Brazil, while he first came to Europe in 2006 to play on loan with the colors of Vilnius.
A year later he was loaned to LKS Lodz in Poland and then returned to Brazil to play for Bragantino.
He stayed there until 2010, when Coibra acquired him for 650 thousand euros. Corinthians followed, who in 2013 sold him for 20 million euros to Tottenham. He then took the bold step of moving to China for Guangzhou with Barcelona signing him for €40m in 2017. A return to Guangzhou followed and then another loan to Al Ahli. His career ended with Corinthians, who released him in the summer.
Overall Paulinho played in 670 matches scoring 80 goalswhile winning 15 trophies.
