THE Olympic is seriously looking for reinforcements to solve its build-up problem and although the roster looked set to close on September 4, it is now expected to make at least one transfer until Monday, when the free agency deadline ends.
Two players are very high in the attention of Olympiakos. The Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yaziciwho was released by Lille with whom he had 42 appearances, 12 goals and 4 assists last season (with 5 goals in 10 Conference League matches). The 27-year-old ace plays mainly as a ten behind the forward, but has also been used on the right, while he has 45 appearances and 3 goals with the Turkish national team. The second one he likes is the Algerian winger with a French passport Adam Unaswho also played for Lille, making 24 appearances and scoring 1 goal last year. He can play on both ends, while he had 24 appearances and 5 goals for the Algerian national team.
Other free players have been proposed to Olympiakos, such as Rafinha, Miralem Pjanic and Dele Alliwhile Stevan Jovetić reportedly also threw bridges, who seems to prefer returning to Greece than going to war-torn Israel and Maccabi Haifa, who have made him an offer.
It is considered almost certain, therefore, that the Piraeus team will make at least one addition until Monday, as structural and depth problems have been identified in specific positions on the roster. The bad thing is that whoever or whatever players come in will need time to reach a good level of fitness since they haven’t done any team preparation.
