His movement Ergin Ataman to point with his fingers to the numbers three and one, after it ends of yesterday’s friendly between Panathinaikos AKTOR and Galatasaraybrought strong reactions in the “camp” of Fanerbahce…
The reason was none other than the fact that, with this gesture, the Turkish coach of the “trefoil” referred to the score that his favorite “chim bom” won against its eternal rival, in the recent league derby.
With the Ataman, however, apologizing, through his relative position at social mediafor his action and to point out that he has often expressed his respect for Fenerbahce.
His coach’s post in detail Panathinaikos AKTOR :
“Last night, after the friendly with Galatasaray, I did my classic celebration with fists to the fans. Then, spontaneously, I made the “3-1” gesture that was reproduced in the press. By making the above gesture, I did not have the slightest intention to target or offend anyone!
I am a coach who, at every opportunity, shows my respect for Fenerbahce. At the same time, I am one of the most competitive people on the court. I realize the upset my action has caused towards Fenerbahce.
I would like to express my sincere apologies for the perception created without my intention. In a way I never wanted. I apologize to the entire Fenerbahce community that I offended because of the incident.”
