Particularly important it is her 6th “turn”. Stoiximan Super League. In today’s program there are two derbies, the Thessaloniki derby between PAOK and Aris and in the evening the AEK-Panathinaikos match will be held in New Philadelphia.
The two “Two-Headed” they are in the top two of the standings and, naturally, they are the ones who want to be on top after the end of the night. On his part, Olympiacos after three bad results he wants to start his counter-attack, starting with today’s match against Atromitos, while following (for the league) the derby with Panathinaikos before the next break for the obligations of the national teams.
The “clover”, on his parthe wants to do the damage inside the headquarters of AEK, to approach the highest positions and to get an important psychological result, since on Thursday he his own Conference League premiership against Borats and the “eternal” derby is coming at OAKA.
OFI-Panaitolikos
After eight matches where there was no victory for the home team in both venues, OFI managed to win 1-0 in last year’s game between the two teams for the regular season.
For the Playouts, however, Panaitolikos prevailed 2-1 in Crete on May 11, 2024. The two teams met three times in less than two weeks last year, after the regular season meeting in Crete took place on January 20, 2024 and prevailed OFI 1-0 and two games for the Greek Cup followed, on January 23, 2024, which Panaitolikos won 2-1 in Crete and 3-1 in Agrinio on January 31, 2024.
This also happens this season, since on Wednesday September 25, OFI prevailed 2-1 for the Greek Cup in a single match and four days later they will face each other for the championship as well.
There is not a goalless match at either venue and in a total of 24 games there are just three draws, all with goals.
OFI and Panaitolikos met for the first time at A’ National level in the 1976-77 season and with the goals of Gialamas and Papadopoulos, OFI won 2-0.
It took several decades for them to meet again at the top level and this happened in 2011-12, when the Cretan team again prevailed, with Zeliko Kalaidzic deciding the match with a goal foul.
The two teams have an incredible variety of scores in the matches in Crete, since in a total of 13 matches there have been ten different scores and only the 1-0 in favor of OFI has three appearances.
Olympiakos-Atromitos
Atromitos may not have scored in their last five visits to the home of Olympiakos, but it is the team – outside of the BIG-5 – that took the last 0-0 with the Red and Whites at the Karaiskakis stadium before the 5th game of this year’s championship opposite Panaitolikos.
However, Olympiacos has 19 victories in 23 matches that welcomed the team of Peristeri and indeed with a special variety in the scores between them. It is typical that his first seven victories against Atromitos were with seven different scores. His favorite scores across all matches are 2-1 and 2-0 with five appearances for each.
Bakabou, in the match between the two teams of the 2022-23 season, scored Olympiakos’ 50th goal in his home games against Atromitos. The first was scored by Julio Losanda, on November 12, 1972, in the first game between the two teams in the First National/Super League, where the Red and Whites won 4-0.
Atromitos has scored in eleven of his 23 meetings with Olympiakos away from home, while the biggest victory of the Reds was recorded on January 16, 1977 with a score of 5-1, which is also the most productive in the history of the meetings between the two teams.
PAOK-Aris
In the last twenty games between the two teams in both venues, the home team has won only seven times, with Aris succeeding four times and PAOK three times. In last year’s four games between them for the regular season and the Playoffs, there were two away wins, a clean draw and an Aris win at home in the regular season.
PAOK has not managed to score in their last two home matches against Aris, namely in last year’s match for the regular season (0-0) and for the Playoffs, where the Yellows won 1-0.
Only in four of the last ten games between them in both venues have both opponents scored. There are three 2-1s in this series, one 3-2, two clean draws and four 1-0 wins.
The longest unbeaten streak that PAOK has run against Aris as a home team is the eleven consecutive matches and started on April 2, 2000 with a 3-2 victory and was broken for the Yellows on October 3, 2010, when they won 1-0 thanks to in the goal of Havitto. In those eleven matches, PAOK won nine times and there were two draws.
AEK-Panathinaikos
Five of the last ten home games against AEK have ended in draws and two of them without a goal being scored. Kitrinomavroi have four wins and Panathinaikos one. Only in four out of ten have both opponents scored.
In the series of the last five years, AEK has not been able to win both at home with Panathinaikos, i.e. in the regular season and the Playoffs process.
In regular time, they have three wins with 1-0 in the last five, Panathinaikos since last year’s match ended with a score of 2-2.
The last time AEK had two consecutive derby wins against Panathinaikos in the same season was in 2012, when on March 11, 2012 they prevailed at home 2-0 for the Second Round and on May 7, 2012 they won 2- 0 for the Playoffs.
In the last ten between them in both venues, there are four home wins, five draws and one away win, which AEK scored on September 25, 2023 with 2-1. In five of these ten games both have scored, while there are two clean draws.
