by

THE Ezekiel Ponce now competes in MLS and her Houston Dynamoafter his transfer from AEK this summer for 9.5 million euros.

The 27-year-old forward spoke to Argentinian Ole and spoke highly of his tenure at AEKbut mainly to Matias Almeida whom he values unimaginably, as he himself stated.

In detail what Eki Ponce said:

“Well, I will say that was the last time I was in Greece, the last time I was there before I came here. I think it was with one of the best coaches I’ve ever had, Matias Almeida.

The truth is that beyond purely football, he showed me the whole picture of what this beautiful sport is and helped me with every advice he gave us. I really enjoyed playing football there.

The truth is that I care a lot about Newells, I know everything that happens at the club and obviously, as the years go by and the career goes on, I think about going back to the club that I love and that has given me everything. We’ll see if that’s a possibility… Now I have a contract with Houston in the MLS and I’m obliged to respect that agreement, but I always have my attention on Newells. The family is always there in Argentina, which is very important to me. We’ll see if I can come back in the future.”
