Sweden remained at the top with a “walk”.

by

Waking up from the 30th minute onwards, Sweden swept Estonia 3-0 in Tallinn for the fourth matchday of the first group of the third division of the Nations League and found themselves back on top of the group along with Slovakia after the latter’s victory over of trailing Azerbaijan earlier, leaving the former Soviets in third place with 3 points.

Nanasi did what he wanted in the first half and scored the first two goals of the Scandinavians, for Yokeres to “close” the match. Change in the 26th minute, Niklas Eliasson of AEK entered the place of Alex Douglas.

The match

The two teams created just three chances in the first half hour. In the 29th minute, Sweden opened the scoring, when Nanasi made it 0-1 with a nice individual effort and a nice shot into Heine’s window. In the 34th minute, Kulusevski warned the Estonians with a good chance, and thus, in the 37th minute, Yokeres with a nice effort turned the ball from the right and Nanasi, with a place in the movement, sent the ball into the net for 0-2.

Sweden went “furious” in the second half and missed three good chances to triple their goals. Something that happened in the 66th minute, when Kulusevski entered the area, turned the ball to Yokeres and the Sporting Lisbon striker, after making a turn around his axis, slotted past Hayne for 0-3. Kulusevski in the 73′ missed another opportunity for the 4-0 Scandinavians, as did Agiari another in the 74′. The tempo dropped in the next few minutes, but the Swedes continued to miss opportunities for a fourth goal. Anier missed a chance for Estonia in the 85th minute and Schöning-Larsen missed the last for the hosts in the 95th minute.
