KAE Lavrio DHI announces the agreement with athlete Antonis Koniaris for the 2024-2025 season.
Antonis Koniaris was born in Chania on September 30, 1997, he is 1.93 m tall and plays as a guard.
He started his professional career with PAOK in the 2013-2014 season, but he only stayed there for one season, as he was transferred to Panathinaikos, where he played for two seasons (2014-2016).
He returned to PAOK and was a member of the team for three years, until 2019.
From Thessaloniki and PAOK, he moved to Piraeus for Olympiakos and was a member of the red and white team until 2021, making a total of 25 appearances in the Euroleague.
He then had a stint at Obradeiro and Ioniko Nikias, while in the two years 2021-2023 he played at AEK.
Last year he played for Prometheus of Patras, with whom he reached the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League. In 14 games he averaged 5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists. For Stoiximan GBL he averaged 5 points, 1.1 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 games, shooting 41.3% from the three-point line.
Antonis Koniaris has been a member of all sections of the National team and has been European champion with the Youth National Team in 2017.
