Details of the lawn:
Last step? The lawn!
Our stadium in New Philadelphia is in the final stage of construction and in the next period the construction of the lawn will start!
The playing field will be one of the most modern in Europe, with a hybrid turf on a fully sandy substrate, according to the strictest international standards.
For the first time in a Greek stadium, LED luminaires will be installed that will assist the development of the turf and will heat it with infrared radiation, while special fans will cool the field during the hot months.
Apart from the innovative technology in the turf infrastructure, there is a clear direction so that the playing field has the smallest possible carbon and water footprint. Thus, among other things, a modern system for recording agro-meteorological data will be installed, which will be based on the recording of data from a grid of sensors that will record soil moisture, solar radiation, leaf moisture, wind speed, rainfall and atmospheric humidity. Accurate recording of temperatures will help to record scores for the prediction of diseases so that the treatment is done in the most natural way.
Irrigation will be done through a giant tank that will accumulate rainwater and drainage water which after filtration will complete the basic irrigation at a rate of about 30% per year.
The design was months old, detailed and difficult but now every step is ready. until the final delivery of the project!
