Big win for her AEKwhere prevailed 3-1 set of Panathinaikos in Metz’s indoor stadium, for the 6th matchday of the Women’s Volley League.
In the first set, the “clover” led 6-2, but Union countered with a 5-0 run and 7-6 in their favor. The “green” had a problem in blocking and reception and the “yellow and black” led 20-15 for the 25-20 of the first set.
In the second set, Panathinaikos led 3-0, but Souza made it 12-9 for Union. The “green” equalized at 17-17, but Trinkova and Souza made it 19-23 and 0-2 sets after Tani’s wrong serve.
The third set was sensational. Panathinaikos quickly went to 11-3, but AEK went down 13-11. Afterwards, the “greens” maintained +2 to +3, they had two set balls at 24-22, but the Union managed to tie the game 24-24 and, after terrible attacks, Panathinaikos had more composure for 30-28 and 1-2.
