And at another point he emphasizes: “We are waiting for her exemplary punishment of the perpetrators of these incidents and the injuries of the Policemen by the Greek Justice».

“On November 16, 2024, during the basketball match between the Promethea and AEK teams for the 7th game of the GBL, after several interruptions and warnings by the referees for abusive chants by AEK fans, an order was given to evacuate the rig where the fans of the visiting team were. During the evacuation process, the Police officers accepted resistance and attacks from fans. The result was that two (2) of our colleagues were injured, with one seriously injured, as he fell from the stand where he was from the murderous attack he received.

We insist that the Government and the Ministry of Citizen Protection they must immediately stop the bleeding of personnel from the services of Achaia through limited transfers to it and mass detachments from it. Achaia has increased policing needs, a fact that unfortunately proves itself every day in a bad way and needs fully manned services. Still imperative is the need to establish a permanent Department of Police Operations in Patras, our constant request which unfortunately is not being implemented. Finally, we are waiting for her exemplary punishment of the perpetrators of these incidents and the injuries of the Policemen by the Greek Justice».
