The police authorities of Heraklion, in collaboration with the Hersonissos department, solved ten theft cases in the wider area and inland
In the investigation of ten cases of thefts which were committed in the wider area of the city of Heraklion and inland, police officers from the Heraklion Security sub-directorate, in cooperation with police officers from the Hersonissos Police Department, proceeded. For these cases, a case file was filed against four men, for distinguished thefts, of which a national defendant was arrested, and for violations of the weapons legislation.
As reported by the police, the four men, during the period from 03/10/2024 to 08/11/2024, had committed the thefts by removing money, jewelry, a hunting rifle and various personal documents, the total monetary value of which exceeds 115,000 euros. In fact, in the morning, during a police operation, police officers identified one of the perpetrators, who was arrested.
In a subsequent search of his home and storage area, a stun gun was found and confiscated., the amount of money of 4,970 euros, three watches and jewelry, thirty-nine cartridges of various types and calibers and clothes related to the thefts. The preliminary investigation continues by the Heraklion Security sub-directorate.
