As it happened in 2022 in Tirana, so also on Wednesday in Sarajevo, Agoritsa-Artemia Kitsiou won the bronze medal in the +73 kg category at the U21 European Taekwondo Championships held in Bosnia, thus opening the account of distinctions for… Greek delegation in the event that brings together 603 sportsmen and women.
Kitsiu, ninth at the European Women’s Championships last May in Belgrade and No-37 in the world rankings, reached the semi-finals with three straight wins. She prevailed 2-0 over the Cypriot Costa, 2-0 over the German Husovich and 2-1 over the Russian Mikhailova, who competes as an independent.
In her match to enter the final, she was defeated 2-0 by Turkala Cavuktsuoglu, the 2019 world champion in girls.
