Stoiximan Super League: Aris with Volos wants a win to… wait for Olympiacos-AEK

by

Lamia – OFI

In the matches between the two teams for the regular duration of the championship, there is absolute balance, since in the six matches Lamia prevailed twice, two ended in a draw and OFI won the other two. The two teams have two matches for the Playouts of the championship, where the Crete team prevailed in both.

Three of their games have ended 2-1, with two wins by Lamia and one by OFI by this scoreline. Their ties are 2-2 and 1-1, while OFI has a 4-1 victory. For Playouts, his wins are 2-1 and 2-0.

Their two matches for last year’s championship ended in draws, with 2-2 in Lamia and 1-1 in Heraklion. OFI is on a six-match unbeaten run in both venues against Lamia, with the Fthiotida side’s last win coming on January 29, 2022 with a 2-1 win at home.

The first meeting in their Super League history – on October 7, 2018 – and the last – on January 8, 2024 have ended in a 1-1 draw. The first in Lamia and the last in Heraklion.

Aris-Volos

Aris has five consecutive victories against Volos in both venues and in fact in four of these games it has not conceded a goal.

The streak of the Yellows started after the victory of the team of Magnesia on October 2, 2022 with 2-0 at home. That win followed Volos’ only away win against Aris, who won 2-0 on February 5, 2022.

In the total of twelve matches between the two teams in both venues, there has never been a draw and Aris has won in nine, while Volos in three.

Their first meeting with home team Aris took place on December 19, 2019, with the Yellows winning 4-0 thanks to goals from Indeje and Gama, who scored two goals each.

Aris drew in its first game of the year, 1-1 with ASTERAS AKTOR and then scored four consecutive victories, with Olympiacos, Lamia, Athens Kallithea and Levadeiakos.

The coach of Aris, Akis Manzios, is also without a tie against Volos, since in eight matches with all teams he has five wins and three losses, while as coach of Kitrinas he has two wins and one loss. The same is the case with the coach of Volos, Kosta Bratso, who in seven matches has two wins and five losses, while on the bench of the team of Magnesia against Aris he has one win and two losses.
