Semedo on what he experienced in prison: “I chose the wrong people next to me – I was afraid from the first day”

The former defender of Olympiakos, Ruben Semedoin an interview he gave to “Marca” he talked about the wrong decisions he has made in his life, which he does not regret, as he pointed out, because they made him better.

In addition, the Portuguese referred to the period he spent in prison for 142 days, describing the difficulties he had to face every day.

“The truth is that I got lost, from 10 euros I went to 100 and got lost with the people I met. I always said it was my fault for allowing these people to come into my life. I didn’t choose the best people to be by my side, but I don’t regret it. It made me grow and learn. At this age I am 30 years old, I am a full man. Obviously I wanted to have other types of stories to tell at Villarreal. I don’t regret anything, but obviously I made mistakes and I hope it helps others learn.”



For the period he lived in prison:

“The first two months were very complicated, but even if you don’t believe me, in the end I got comfortable. I studied, sang, worked and went to play football and in those moments I felt comfortable. Obviously, from the first day I felt fear. It’s something I wasn’t used to, like what you see in the movies and everything, very scary. I personally didn’t experience it, like in the movies, but I saw a lot of things. And they are scary, obviously scary. I don’t remember anymore, I erased everything from my mind.

And what I missed the most was not playing football, being at home, watching Netflix or being at home playing cards, drinking some wine, I don’t know, sharing moments with my family, with people I love.” .
