AEK announced Gourda

Stella Giurda became an AEK volleyball player on Monday. The Amateur Union announced the signing of the 23-year-old Greek winger for the rest of this season, in order to strengthen the department at the ends of the attack.

The daughter of the great Mario Giurda previously played at Lamia, and has experience from Florida College and Grand Canyon.

In detail, the announcement:

“AEK is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with Stella Gourdas. The 23-year-old (15/03/2002) signed her contract and joins the club’s women’s volleyball team.

Stella Giorda started volleyball from Artemisa Korydallou, where she played until 2016. She followed her passage from Olympiakos (2016-17) and Apollonius (2018-19).

He then traveled to the US for studies, where he won three championships with Florida College and one with Grand Canyon College. He returned to our country on behalf of AO Lamia, while now he will wear the yellow and black jersey.

Stella Giourdas was welcomed at the association’s offices by the President of AEK, Alexis Alexiou, the General Secretary, Lefteris Archontis, and the General Leader, Ilias Hatsikas. The new transfer acquisition of AEK was accompanied by her father, Marios Giourdas, who has written history in Greek volleyball and is currently the team manager of the men’s national team, as well as her mother, Mary Dolaptsi, who has also played volleyball in many high level.

After the formalization of the agreement, Stella Giorda said to aek.gr: “I am very happy that I will now belong to the AEK family. I want to thank the management and the coach for choosing me. I will give my best, 101%, for the rest of the season. I hope we will be healthy and achieve our goals.”
