With the organizing authority announcing the start of its partnership with Hawk-Eye Innovations to use the two services and minimize any dietary mistakes.

“Following the unanimous decision of the Super League Board of Directors, the Super League announces the launch of a partnership with Hawk-Aye Innovations, a company of the Sony Group, for the use of SEMI-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT) and Goal Line Technology (GLT), The matches of the Stoiximan Super League Playoffs (positions 1-4), as well as in the Greek Cup final.

The use of Hawk-Eye technology for semi-automatic offside detection places the Super League of Greece among European football pioneers.
The Super League provides the necessary cutting -edge technology infrastructures for immediate and effective decision -making from the referees, as according to Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s La Liga, as well as supranational federations such as UEFA and FIFA.
The SAOT (semi -automatic offside) uses 10 detection cameras, to accurate offside decisions through the analysis of each player in the field, from 29 points in the body, position and orbit of the ball in seconds.
In this way it ensures the 3D portrayal of the phases, instead of the existing two -dimensional offside line to date, providing much more effective placement of the offside line and reducing the referees’ decision.
The GLT (goal line technology), which will also be used in all Stoiximan Playoffs (1-4 positions), as well as in the Greek Cup final, will immediately and automatically update the referee whether the ball crossed the line or not, (goal or not goals), through the ball.
The Deputy President of the Super League Katia Coxenoglou stated:
“The Board of Directors of the Super League Greece has unanimously decided to approve the implementation of the Semi-Automated Offides and Goal Line Technology in the Stoiximan Super League Playoffs 1 to 4 to upgrade the accuracy of referee’s decisions.
Super League Greece has decided to work with Hawk-Aye Innovations, a pioneer in football technologies, with a proven history in UEFA and FIFA events, as well as in top football leagues, to further enhance the credibility of the Stoiximan Super League Playoffs 1-4 Final of the Greek Cup. ”
