Fortunately, this season rolled without problems and we think it will end. You all remember last season and what happened. No one wants such situations again. Although I have played abroad I never had the opportunity to live such an atmosphere in volleyball races. “
Olympiacos is the team that perfectly covers Atanasievic: “First and foremost, I wanted to return to Europe for the sake of my family: my wife and my children. It was too late for me to find something appropriate in Turkey. In the meantime, Olympiacos appeared and Athens is near Constantinople. So we can see each other at least once a month.
By 2nd Olympiacos is a very big team and with a long tradition. The Greek Championship may not be at the level of some of what I have played before but we have shown that we have an excellent team: We beat Monza, Fener and Yastrebski. Thirdly, Athens is a truly terrible city.

As for his national and career: “I still have in my mind when I started playing in the Serbian national team, but I also know that I am in my last years in volleyball. Again, however, I feel good physically and enjoy every moment on the court. I look to progress and become a better player every season. I have proven that I can still be and attribute to the top level.
It is not very common in volleyball to be so many years at such a level. Ever since I left Serbia, Olympiacos has been the fourth club I am fighting. And that makes me proud. Always renewed with joy and I hope it will be the same this time at Olympiacos. “
He then talked about his departure from National Serbia: “I will be the most ardent supporter of national Serbia. There are really great kids and I am in constant contact with everyone.
There are great players. First of all, I think about Ljuburic, who already has extensive experience. I will also mention Stankovic and then Melianak and Nikolic. Massulovic is playing terribly in Italy. I believe that there is nothing to worry about for the future. “
