In Tbilisi, the Men’s National Volleyball arrived early Friday morning to face Georgia for the 4th match of the 6th qualifying group of the European Championship 2026.
The Greek mission traveled by direct flight from Athens, but the unexpected did not take long to make their appearance at Tbilisi Airport. The 23 people in the mission were welcomed by a small van and one IX, provoking the indignation of athletes and training staff who had to … even fit in the Van’s corridor to fit. At the hotel our national team arrived shortly after 5am and all headed to their rooms for the necessary rest.
Friday’s program is training (17.30-19.00) at the indoor gym “Rustavi Sports Palace” which will also host the race with Georgia on Saturday afternoon (9/8, 18.00). With a victory, the National will seal its fourth consecutive presence in the final phase of a European Championship.
