PAOK announced Katsouni

Spyros Katsounis became the main PAOK handbolar. The “black and white” amateur announced the acquisition of the 18 -year -old playmaker for the following year.

Katsounis has been competing in HANTH for the last two years, and is international with the National Teens.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the Men’s Handball Department announce the start of a partnership with athlete Spyros Katsounis for the 2025-2026 season.

Born on 27/10/2007, Spyros Katsounis competes as a playmaker and has a height of 187cm.

He made his first steps in handball from a very young age, just seven in 2014, from Panorama GDP. 2018 came to PAOK for the first time, playing in the category of Pampades II. He then competed in the Infrastructure Departments of Mars and AEK Pylaia.

In the last two years (2023-25) he competed in the HANTH, actively participating in the men’s team, with which he won the A2 championship in the 2023-24 season, winning the Handball Premier. Last season (2024-25) he completed the league with 41 goals in 16 matches, scoring an average of 2.5 goals per game.

He is international with the national teenager of our country, with which he has participated in the European Championship qualifiers in Keetti, Italy.

On the start of a cooperation with PAOK, Spyros Katsounis told the club’s official website, accpaok.gr: “I am very happy to be a member of PAOK. I know it’s a big challenge for me, as I will fight for the first time at a high level, but I believe in my potential and I hope to help the team achieve its goals.
