The experienced striker, Thanasis Papazoglouwho now competes in Asteras Agios Nikolaos, spoke on the show “Lawsuit against SKAI” for his dispute with OFI and the old debts that have not yet been paid.
As he specifically stated: “I will take half of the capital from what is owed to me since I played in OFI. If I were a foreign footballer, I would get 100%. But because I’m Greek, I get half. The EPO did not take anyone’s side at the Court of Appeal, in fact it was neutral regarding the money owed to me by the Cretan PAE. We are talking about money that has been earned.
The point is that this money has been earned on the field and needs to go back to where it belongs. We footballers don’t beg. We are asking for the money we worked for on the field and it must be returned to where it belongs. The knot has reached the comb. It is a case that one should not close one’s eyes.
We are talking about more than 80 players asking to get their hard earned money. PSAAP does nothing. Since 2014, when I left OFI, I did what I had to do and found myself chasing ghosts. At the moment we are alone, neither EPO nor PSAAP is with us. I see the result, everyone is indifferent to such a serious matter. I am saddened to be in this situation. I will not stand idly by. Together with my colleagues, we will take the case to the end.”
