Another week, another leak from Google, which apparently failed to keep the prototype of the new device a secret.

This time, a prototype of the Google Pixel 7 Pro appeared on Reddit after users said they bought it from the Facebook Marketplace.

According to Redditor, this smartphone is listed as a Pixel 6 Pro without a case.

Based on photos uploaded by Redditor AMC20_, it looks like the Pixel7 Pro say they’ve been using it for about 3 weeks.

It’s no stranger to Google, it’s the second Pixel prototype to be found in the wild in two weeks. Last week, a prototype of the Pixel 7 was posted on eBay just a few months before its official launch.

Two phones can be from the same jailbreak. One of the photos on the eBay listing shows that the seller may have picked up the Pixel 7 Pro, with a reflection on the back of the Pixel 7.

According to Redditor, who bought the 7 Pro prototype, this phone could be the same phone used to take photos in the leaked Pixel 7e Bay listing.

Some Reddit users seem to think the leak is legal and ask AMC20_ about the phone’s behavior and dimensions. A customer wanted to know if the Pixel 6 Pro case would match the expected 7 Pro.

“So I found a case that actually looks like $4 on Amazon and fits perfectly on a more stretchy frame,” AMC20_ replied.

They also explained that the alleged Pixel 7 Pro prototype is “actually the same screen size” as the Pixel 6 Pro.

“This morning it started doing weird things, said it was a factory reset and wiped all my data, then switched to the bootloader screen,” Redditor said in a post.

Redditors believe that Google remotely wiped or turned off the phone as soon as it discovered the leak.

Google officially confirmed the next Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at the I/O 2022 Developers Conference last month.

This is the third major leak of Google devices in the weeks after the Pixel Watch prototype was “dropped off” at the restaurant.
