Fitbit has announced its fall lineup with two new smartwatches, Versa 4 and Sense 2. Plus, there’s the affordable Inspire 3 fitness tracker.
Google may have acquired the fitness tracking company, but it seems like there are still some good deals out there.
The wearable device company has updated Sense to create a cutting-edge smartwatch focused on stress management. Heart health is the focus of this device, with sensors that can detect signs of atrial fibrillation through an ECG app and PPG algorithms.
With a continuous electrodermal activity (cEDA) sensor on the wrist, Sense 2’s new Body Response sensor monitors heart rate variability, skin temperature and more to manage stress throughout the day. Sense 2 is available for £269.99.
With the updated Versa 4, Fitbit has added premium features like 40+ exercise modes, real-time stats, built-in GPS, active zone hours and daily fitness for £199.99.
Finally, we have the Inspire 3, which boasts an incredible 10 days of battery life. At just £84.99, it’s an attractive entry-level device with the ability to monitor vital health information.
Fitbit is also bringing a new heart health feature to the UK with irregular heartbeat notifications that use the company’s PPG (photoplethysmography) algorithm.
This feature passively measures your heart rate in the background while you are still or asleep. If you have something that could indicate AFib, you’ll get a notification to let your doctor know through the Fitbit app.
With Google’s Pixel smartwatches on the way, it looks like Google is once again giving hope to people opting for more affordable and familiar options with its new Fitbit range.
