How Google tried to play Apple and.. fell into the pit it dug

It didn’t take long for users to realize what had happened, causing Google to fall into the pit of its own making!

The effort of the social network department backfired of Google to promote the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro mobile phones on the “back” of Apple…

It all started when the head of Apple, Tim Cooktweeted paving the way for the new iPad Pro with the hashtag #TakeNote.

The official Google Pixel Twitter account decided to take the opportunity to tease Apple by taking advantage of its CEO’s post to promote the new Pixel devices that Google is banking heavily on.

However, what they forgot (or even worse should have known…) at Google is that every tweet made by iPhone or Android device has a corresponding characteristic marking (Twitter for iPhone – Twitter for Android). The result was Google’s post writing… Twitter for iPhone!

It didn’t take long for users to realize what had happened, and as a result, Google fell into the pit of its own making! Google was quick to delete the tweet and replace it, but it was too late, because what happens on social media stays on social media…
