Global blockade on all Russian state-funded channels, the social networking platform YouTube announced on Friday, accusing them of spreading false news.
“YouTube blocks Russian state-funded channels worldwide. YouTube is blocking access worldwide to channels related to Russian state-funded media,” the company said in a Twitter account.
“The Community Guidelines prohibit the denial, minimization or denigration of well-documented violent incidents. “We are now removing content about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that violates this policy.”
According to him, we also now exclude access to YouTube channels related to Russian state-funded media worldwide, which extend to all of Europe. “This change is immediate and we expect our systems to take time.”
“Since our last update, our teams have now removed more than 1,000 channels and more than 15,000 videos due to a violation not only of our hate speech policy, but also of our policies on misinformation, documentary content and more. Our systems also connect people with reliable news sources. So far, our breaking news and top news on our homepage have received more than 17 million views in Ukraine. Our teams continue to monitor the situation closely and are ready to take further action. “We will continue to share updates as soon as they become available,” the platform concludes.
