Athens is part of the World Network of the Sui in the context of its strategy. Through the creation of Hubs in key markets, the Sui aims to highlight the next generation of top programmers.
Athens, June 23, 2025 – Sui, the only blockchain platform designed to adopt by the general public, announced today the operation of Suihub Athens. It is a strategic step that enhances the growth and spread of the SUI ecosystem internationally by offering a specially designed space that promotes collaboration and innovation, at the heart of one of Europe’s most rising technology centers. Athens is the third city in a row in the world in which Sui inaugurates a natural area of activities, after Dubai and Vietnam, where they operated similar spaces in late last year.
The only combination of talented professionals, geographical positions and institutional support makes Greece an ideal location for the global expansion of Sui’s natural presence. Greek universities are distinguished for the emergence of leading engineers, especially in the fields of data science, software development and artificial intelligence, areas of crucial importance to the Sui ecosystem. In recent years, Athens’ broader technological environment has developed significant growth, with the increase in the number of start -ups and innovative businesses, such as the Sui, which consolidate their presence, creating well -paid jobs and attracting high level talents.
Recently, the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX) has used Sui’s technology to upgrade the Electronic Book Building (EBB) platform. This collaboration is the first of its kind worldwide, as it is the first time that a National Stock Exchange adopts Blockchain Layer 1. Today, over 85% of Sui’s World Solutions Engineering team is based in Greece, offering solutions and support to more than 100 projects that are integrated into the continuously developed SUI.
“We believe that innovation blooms when talented people have access to the right tools and support, while giving them the opportunity to interact, learn and exchange ideas,” said Christian Thompson, chief executive of the Sui Foundation. “We are excited about the response that Sui has received worldwide and we look forward to working with the community and the dynamic network of Athens developers.”
Suihub Athens is housed in a neoclassical building, combining Greece’s cultural identity with modern technological evolution. With the aim of supporting innovation, the space has been shaped to attract new talents, strengthen dynamic start -ups and act as a point of contact and exchange of ideas. At the same time, it helps to boost investment and offers talented Greeks to work in projects with international perspective.
It is an open space of learning, collaboration and creation, which brings near developers, professionals and people with a passion for innovation, enabling them to use the world’s world infrastructure. Through practical training and collaboration between different specialties, the HUB will act as a catalyst for innovation, with the aim of enhancing both the local and international community.
Developers will have access to continuous support, with the aim of guiding them in the development of Web3 applications and providing counseling services. Suihub Athens will organize interactive workshops, technical support hours and meetings in small groups, to support European creators in utilizing the unique capabilities of the Sui ecosystem, such as the pioneering architecture of the network, the MOVE programming language and the new decentralized database.
In the coming months, Suihub Athens will host a series of events, acting as a venue with academic institutions, developer communities and companies active in the field of technology and web3 throughout Europe.
