The relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence (TN) is now at the heart of a global debate. In music, where inspiration and emotion are the foundations of artistic expression, the rapid development of systems of systems raises questions about the future of the creators. Can an algorithm replace the melody born of a human soul?

Self -Managing, the Hellenic Association for Music Copyright Collective Management, published its results research implemented in collaboration with ALCO by giving answers to key questions on the issue.

At a time when sectors of culture and creativity are experiencing daily economic damage and unfair competition with the rapid development of the productive models of TNAI and the production of artistic content of all kinds, Alco’s research records the absolute recognition of the Greek society of role and the importance of music and the importance of music.

94% consider the role of composers and lyricists significant, while 62% are interested in and calculating the composer / lyricist name when choosing to buy or “download” and store musical works.

Universal request for marking works TN

It is almost universal that the need for the need to mark the musical works produced by TN.

90% believe that there should be a special signal so that listeners / consumers know that a musical work is a product of TN. In addition, 84% believe that the musical works TN should mention the names of the works used as material for their production.

Fair pay for creators

It is very strong to perceive the Greek public that creators must be paid for the use of musical works used as material to produce artificial intelligence products.

73% (compared to only 12%) believe that composers / workshops used as material to produce a musical work from TN must receive remuneration from companies producing musical works with TN.

Alco’s survey was conducted by telephone interviews from 3-8 May 2025, in a sample of 1000 people, women and men, aged 17 and over, across the Greek territory.
