Delivered this morning at Downing Street the long-awaited report on the partygate prepared after investigation by the senior official of the Cabinet Office Sue Gray.

Reports have suggested that the report would be highly critical of Prime Minister Boris Johnson. A partial and very concise report of Mrs. Gray months ago had spoken about a “leadership and crisis deficit” in Downing Street that allowed the violation of lockdown rules.

The publication of the full report was postponed when in January the Metropolitan Police announced that they would conduct their own investigation.

The police investigation resulted in the imposition of 126 fines on more than 80 people, including a fine on the Prime Minister.

The full report is expected to be posted at noon on the government website. About the same time Boris Johnson will make a statement to the House of Commons with which he is expected to apologize once again.

The press conference of the Prime Minister and his meeting with the parliamentary group of the Conservative Party will probably follow in the afternoon.

The release of Gray’s report follows the revelation of photos from ITV showing Boris Johnson holding a glass of drink at a rally on Downing Street on November 13, 2020, amid a lockdown.

According to today’s publication of the Daily Mirror, there is also another photo of a table full of drinks from a party on Downing Street on November 17, 2020, which until now had not been known and was not investigated by the police.

The newspaper adds that there is also a chain of messages on WhatsApp from a Downing Street official who invited the employees there to the party.
