Tesla CEO Elon Musk is in a position to organize work at home.

In a series of memoirs leaked on Twitter, the world’s richest man is said to have told staff: “If you don’t show up, we’ll assume you’re quitting.”

Email An email shared online by Sam Nissim was sent to a list titled “Everyone” at 10:51 pm with the subject line “Very Clear.”

“Everyone at Tesla needs to spend at least 40 hours a week in the office,” one business magnate wrote.

Also, the office should be where the real colleagues are, not the pseudo-remote office. The older you are, the more visible your presence will be.

This was the second email from Mr. Musk regarding the abolition of the “work at home” policy, which has increased aversion to remote operations.

“For taxpayers of particular interest,” the billionaire added that they would review and approve them in another email leaked to social media on Tuesday.

IG Metall, Germany’s largest union based in the same German state where Tesla’s Giga factory in Berlin is located, reacted strongly.

“People who disagree and want to oppose such one-sided demands have the power of the German union according to the law,” said Birgit Ditze, district leader of IG Metall.

Tesla employs about 4,000 people in Germany and plans to expand to 12,000, which could have a big impact on the production line.

Currently, there is no law in the country that recognizes the right to work from home.

At Tesla, everyone must spend at least 40 hours a week in the office. Also, the office should be where the real colleagues are, not the pseudo-remote office. If you don’t show up, we consider you quit.

The older you are, the more prominent your presence will be. So I lived in a lot of factories, so the people on the line worked with them. If he hadn’t done this, Tesla would have gone bankrupt long ago.

Sure, some companies don’t want this, but when was the last time you shipped a great new product? It’s been a while.

Tesla creates and manufactures the most exciting and important products of any company on the planet. This does not happen when you call on the phone.

Following the Covid pandemic, the Ministry of Labor is implementing policies to increase the flexibility of workers.

Many large companies, including car manufacturers, have already adopted these types of hybrid models.

Tesla has not officially commented on the leaked letter, but Musk responded to a follower’s question on Twitter about whether there were comments from “people who think hiring is an outdated concept.”

“They have to act to work somewhere else,” he said.

He asked Tesla’s European office for comment.
