Russian airstrike overnight strikes suburb of northern Ukrainian city of Sumy killing four people

Russian air attack overnight, it struck a suburb of the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing four people and injuring six, the local governor said on Thursday, without elaborating on the purpose of the attack.
Ukraine ignored the Russian ultimatum to surrender the Severodonetsk on Wednesday. Ukrainian soldiers fight to regain ground in wheat fields along a deserted highway between the town of Mykolaiv and Kherson.
Moscow has concentrated most of its firepower in Severodonetsk and is also trying to consolidate control of southern Kherson.
Kyiv is urgently asking for more weapons to repel Russian advance into southern and eastern Ukraine as leaders of Germany, France and Italy visit the Ukrainian capital on Thursday. Volodymyr Zelensky said he was “grateful” for the new weapons the United States would send to Ukraine. Germany, for its part, will supply the Ukrainian army with three self-propelled MARS II multi-missile launchers, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced in Brussels on Wednesday.
