In a historic ceremony and in an atmosphere of deep emotion, the inauguration of the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos at the Zero Point, the national pilgrimage, which opened its gates to the faithful on the Independence Day of the United States of America took place.
The Archbishop of America Elpidophoros he said that this Temple will adorn the Zero Point for centuries to come and will prove the strength of man, who can achieve anything when he has faith and works collectively.

Faithful and important personalities attended the opening, on a day with strong symbolism due to the celebration of the Independence Day of the USA, while this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Holy Archdiocese. Also, the 46th Clergy Lay Assembly is underway, for which Greek Orthodox clergy and hierarchs from all American states have gathered in New York.
