This is “good news for the country”, the leader of the opposition Labor Party has reacted to the news that Johnson is expected to resign Keir Starmer.
“We don’t need a change in the Tory leadership. We need a real change of government,” noted Britain’s official opposition leader, however.
The announcement of Johnson’s resignation came after almost 60 members of the British government left on Tuesday, including five ministers, in an exodus unprecedented in British political history.
