Murder of Shinzo Abe: Handmade weapons and explosives in the home of the perpetrator

Former Navy veteran Tetsuya Yamagami, 41 – Says he’s ‘annoyed’ with ex-prime minister

An entire laboratory of homemade weapons and explosives was hidden in his house by his killer Japanese former Prime Minister Shinzo Abeas revealed by the police investigation.

The 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami he killed Shinzo Abe with two bullets in the back, using a pistol that he had made from two pieces, one for the barrel and the second for the handle, made of wood, while a particular impression was made by the firing mechanism, which was electronic.

The perpetrator was arrested on the spot, immediately after his murderous action. He resisted and the guards of the former prime minister had to fight in the middle of the street, in order to immobilize him.

Police searched Yamagami’s home, where the laboratory of homemade weapons and explosives was locatedthe possession of which is illegal in Japan.

It is currently unknown why the killer was “upset” with Shinzo Abe, something that is expected to be clarified in the near future through the interrogation.
