If a country has the most dangerous and scary animals it is definitely Australia and now it comes to confirm it with its latest finding. In early November, an anonymous sender sent a taper to the Australian Reptile Park that contained a spider different from the others. This venomous female spider of the species Atrax robustus is not common since it is twice the size of the others of its species, as a result of which it was named “Great Spider” by the zoo staff.
Its size can be impressive (8cm), but even more impressive are its canines which are 2 cm long, comparable to those of a tarantula and can pierce a human nail.

Giving us a Megaspider for our poison program is amazing, in the 30 years I have been in the park I have not seen such a large spider of this species. The park collects donations from the public to maintain its stockpiles of poisons, which are used to produce antidotes, saving up to 300 lives a year. The park estimates that its program has saved more than 25,000 lives since it was created in 1950.
