According to Nashville authorities, there are no signs of criminal activity.
The American singer and actress was found dead in her bedroom today Friday Sonka Doukoure, known for her participation in the biopic ‘Elvis’ as ‘Big Mama’ Thornton.
One of the 44-year-old’s two children found her unconscious in their home in Nashville, Tennessee, and ran to a neighboring house for help.
According to Nashville authorities, there are no signs of criminal activity. The cause of death is expected to be determined by the medical examiner’s report.

The mayor of Nashville, Mr John Cooperexpressed through a post on Twitter his condolences to the family of the deceased, noting that she had graduated from Frisk University in the city she called her “home” for many years.
Sonka Doukoure’s participation in Baz Luhrmann’s film about the “king of rock and roll” Elvis Presley was her first major film venture.
