As the organizers note, “The future of the world is now at stake in Ukraine. Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, which began on February 24, has challenged the world order built over decades – an order governed by law rather than military force, an order of governance and human development of capital.
“We must unite in our efforts to stop Russia’s aggression together and restore our world, a world where human rights prevail over the power of arms, brute force and autocracy.
Today, the First Ladies and First Gentlemen of the world meet at the Second Summit via video conference, they will talk, among other things, about the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
»People, who are in different countries, in different parts of the world, speaking different languages ​​will discuss the basic and common issues. For children and education, for immigrants, for the physical and mental rehabilitation of Ukrainians, for women and their role in decision-making in the field of defense, politics, IT, post-war reconstruction of the country.
»This year, the Summit is dedicated to the most painful challenge of 2022, Russia’s war against Ukraine. The man will be the central person and the subject of the discussion.
“Hosting the Second Summit, which was planned last year, despite Russia’s daily acts of terrorism, is for us a carefully weighed decision. There is a need for the restoration and reconstruction of our country, for that we must also gain the support of the world community,” said Olena Zelenska.
The Summit is divided into four thematic sections.
- The first is dedicated to temporarily displaced people.
- The second is dedicated to children and education.
- The third is for the physical and mental rehabilitation of Ukrainians.
- The fourth is dedicated to the role of women in decision-making in the field of defense, post-war reconstruction of the country and, in particular, in the field of information technology.
