An ambitious actress and graduate student has been hospitalized for a brain injury after a mysterious attack her family suspected occurred on the New York City subway.

A 29-year-old Columbia University graduate student walks out of Dream Baby Bar around 1 a.m. on July 21, then walks up the subway stairs at Metro Avenue and Fifteenth Avenue. He was spotted, sources told the New York Post. He, too, was found boarding an Uber shortly before 2:15 a.m.

According to the GoFundMe page created for her, Reist suffered a “vicious attack” and “sustained multiple serious brain injuries, swelling, and seizures from the attack.” He is intubated in the intensive care unit for patients with neurological problems.

“Jay is our best friend, student, son and classmate,” he said. “We love Jay so much it hurts.”

In a statement about the funding on Sunday, he said: Although he is still in the ICU, his brain is stable, battling pneumonia and constantly trying to suppress the sedation so he can wake up quickly. Keep Jay on your mind. “

Reist remains at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights.

His mother, Louise Laist, believes he was attacked on the subway for his appearance after the incident.

It was covered in dirt. His hat and clothes. And under his fingernails. But it’s more consistent with dirty subways and subway stations because it’s dirty on a dirty street,” he told CBS News.

“The doctor certainly knows that he was struck by a very heavy object in the upper right part of the back of his head.”

However, the police have not confirmed that he was attacked on the transport system. Investigators are scanning the area for surveillance footage.

Her sister, Lisa Lyst, wondered if she was targeted for sexual orientation.

“He’s gay and a different gender, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it,” he told CBS. “He’s dancing. You can. He’s very talented. He’s a really supportive brother, we’re very close.”
