Three firefighters, two rescuers and two journalists are among the 15 dead, the governor of Gaziantep said.
Fifteen people were killed and 22 injured in southeast Turkey in a road accident involving an ambulance, the governor of Gaziantep province announced today.
“A total of 15 of our citizens lost their lives and 22 were injured in the accident involving a coach, a rescue team and an ambulance on the highway between Gaziantep and Nizip,” governor Davut Gul said in a tweet.
According to it, an ambulance, a fire engine and a vehicle carrying a group of journalists, who had gone to the scene of an accident, were hit head-on by a passenger bus traveling on the same highway.
